SUMMARY:Short-notice Garlic Mustard Raid
DESCRIPTION:After 3 days in the 50s\, and today in the 40s\, the ground has completely thawed in the woods near me in South Acton. So I am scheduling a short-notice volunteer work party tomorrow Saturday January 14\, 2 to 4 PM to pull out and and kill Garlic Mustard on our Pacy Conservation Land. This is the perfect time of year to do this\, because Garlic Mustard stays green all winter\, so it is easy to spot. If we finish all the garlic mustard\, we will switch to killing invasive Japanese Barberry\, of which there is a plentiful supply. Please RSVP by email or phone so we can tell you where to meet. If we get enough response\, we may split to multiple locations. Dress for the weather\, bring work gloves\, a weeding tool\, and maybe kneepads to keep your knees dry .
